This entry was posted on 6/25/2006 1:30 AM and is filed under Relationships,1987-1997,Where Are They Now,Best Era Ever.

If you have a staff list from 1994-2003 or 1931 to 1985 then please scan it and email it to alumni@CentennialBeach.com  or fax it to 815-377-2380.  We could also use help calling people from these eara's.  Also Post a comment of where you are, what you are up to and who you can locate or what lists you have submitted.

Next,  I have to say that the best era ever was what I call the Tim Belgio Era.  It was a bigger feeling than just tim belgio but the team spirit was strong and Tim had a way of badgering everyone into the fun.  Chances are this era will have the most attending this summer.  If you worked with Tim then Congrats to your era.  I am sure you will agree.  I also nominate Tim to the Beach Staff Hall of Fame.  I just can't think of the category that describes him.  One night durring an early Ribfest the NPD figured out that thier midnight clean up crew was not going to show that night.  Somebody told Belgio.  Ha made a few dozen phone calls and assembled an army of 100 last minute volenteers in a couple hours.  Ribfest never had such a complete litterpick.  NPD Administrators were quitely amazed.  Excahange club leadership were extatic.  You guys all came through.  Just like always.  There is some magic in the Beach Staff Team that will never be understood and rarely equaled by other world class teams.

I have alot of stories and respect for everyone who was listed below.  All I can say is you had better post on our blog or we may tell my version of those stories!

We need your help finding Missing Alumni!

Aside from my own MS Outlook I like use the website

or http://www.zabbasearch.com/   for finding beach staff .    Please take a crack at some of the people you can help us find.

We have 600 names but only 200 email addresses.  Some others got a post card but maybe not at a current address.  If you can help us get them all typed up please post below or write  Jim Ensign at  alumni@CentennialBeach.com

Keep me posted on who may be going to the reunion in July. I will do my best to try and locate some of the other "lost" members on the list. Hope this finds you all healthy, happy and well!!!

Who will be going to the reunion events and who will not? I am trying to make a final decision on whether I am going to travel back. I will have to come alone since my husband will be working that weekend so I want to make sure that I would see familiar smiling faces!! If you have time drop me an e-mail and let me know whether you'll be in attendance or not.
Hope you are all enjoying the summer sun!!

I'm not lost, Shea (Powell) knows where to find me. I live in Montgomery with my husband (Nick Leger's older brother, MIke) and have 4 kids (9,8,6,and 2). I'm not sure I'll be a the reunion, we have a family thing going on. I do spend a lot of time lately at Philips park, doing the mom thing. It's way different that it was when it opened. Hope everyone enjoys the festivities...

Looking forward to seeing some of the old gang this weekend. I’m married living in Naperville with 2 kids (6 & 4) who both love going to the beach. Kind of strange being a “patron” in the instead of on the punch-clock. I am happy to say that in the last few years, there have been no “Code Browns” in the shallow end due to my kids, but there is still time. Funny thing is they still don’t understand why I freak out when I hear whistles. It’s like I’m some kind of trained dog or something....

Hey. Has anyone put an email list together from the reunion? How about photos. I saw lots of clicking at the party on Saturday, so I know they're out there. It was great seeing all those old faces! Keep in touch!

I have a good copy of the sign in sheet for the evening event in a PDF format. However we need a volunteer to type it up and double check. Some of the data will be tough to read. Otto was going to turn that into a database which takes some skill but it would be helpful if somebody could volunteer to type up a couple pages of names, phones and email addresses. Then double check the hard to read phone numbers either on line or by calling.

I have a major revision of the website planned to focus more on future events, gathering data from staff, and beach history.  This staff questionnaires and any photos would a lot of help.  I have some freeze frames from some video I shot at Country Lakes and the beach that I will post but Chuck Koch probably has the best photos.  My pics will be very low res and no flash in dim light.  I plan to make a snapfish group so we can all post as many photos as we want in a place where everybody can see them

Yesterday I wrote the daily herald for permission to access archives or scans of news paper clippings submitted by Sandy Perry.  If approved that could be another area where I could use some clerical volunteer work.  I keep finding random beach staff like Dave Panek who is living in Naperville still and just did not know about the reunion.  So we may get the word out.  And finally for those who also worked at Phillips we are considering a get together over Christmas break.  Jorge Colin is kind of a committee of one on that so any support or encouragement you can give him will be appreciated.  Recent experience tells us that the success of these events are all about the energy put into finding people.  Please email jim@ensigns.us if you can help with anything.

Thanks for your cooperation.   You may now resume........ living!

thanks for checking in. Glad to hear you are swimming. You were a GREAT mudrat coach and I had a dozen people ask me about you at the reunion. BTW Cress Creek Commons Pool is deperately looking for an adult to act as the head summer swimteam coach. Pay's pretty good too. Drop me a line if you are interested or know somebody.
